Fit For A King - ‘We knew Elvis from the time he was a forty-two long with a thirty-four waist to a forty-six long and a forty around the middle’ explains Willy Clayborne, assistant manager of Lansky Brothers, the tailors who took care of most of Elvis’ clothing needs. The building is now a museum, however, Bernard Lansky has a shop in the Peabody Hotel in downtown Memphis where he is more than happy to talk to fans about his most famous customer: ‘I put Elvis in his first suit, and I put him in his last.’ Memphis, 1994.
